HELP US REWILD THE DUKE’s ESTATE
BUY A PIECE OF EATON HALL TODAY
The Duke of Westminster is one of Britain’s richest and biggest landowners. He could be using his land for the common good. Rewilding it and letting nature do its job, and giving the public a say.
Instead, the land under his control is bare, lifeless and walled off. Even worse, he’s actively setting thousands of acres on fire so he can shoot birds for fun.
This has to stop.
We’re staging an intervention. The Duke is taking the law into his own hands, so we’re taking his lawn into ours.

Whose land? Our Land!
Known to his close friends as m’Lord, the Duke is worth £10 billion and is the third richest person in the country. He owns more than 130,000 acres of land in England, that’s more than twice the size of Birmingham, including protected habitats and parts of our National Parks. But instead of protecting it, he’s been setting huge areas of it on fire for the outdated “sport” of grouse shooting,
Grouse like young heather, so to breed massive numbers of them to shoot, the Duke’s land managers torch the land they should be protecting. Burning peat is a disaster for the climate. Peat is one of the UK’s biggest climate stores and is a natural flood defence. Setting fire to it is climate arson putting all our futures at risk.
Our ambition is to sell 10,000 pieces of the Duke’s land to show him and our leaders just how much the public cares.
We’re Demanding that:
1
The Duke ends all grouse shooting on his estates and commits to rewilding 50% of his land.
2
The incoming government bans driven grouse shooting and all moorland burning.
3
The incoming government takes action to bring more land into public ownership to rewild it.
